I prefer my blended yogurt with some freshness of mint added and spices like cumin seed, black salt. I love the aroma of black salt in this drink. Both yogurt and mint (pudina) are body coolants and so their combination would double the cooling properties in this traditional drink.
This drink is made by churning yogurt with water in a blender or traditional Indian wooden churner mixed with spices and coarsely blended mint leaves.
Whenever you are throwing a festival celebration lunch, serve this Pudina Lassi to the guests after or before the meal… they’ll love it.
Tip: You can serve the lassi in earthen glasses or cups which gives a very nice aromatic smell to the drink.
Tip: Tempering (tadka) this drink with mustard seeds and curry leaves adds another layer of flavour to it.
Tip: Buttermilk tastes best when serve chilled.

I read a different variation of pudina lassi somewhere quite a long time back which was something like “Avacado and Cucumber Lassi”, and I think the recipe was similar to something like this recipe on RealBuzz.com I found today.
